Sarah (E-RYT200) is the leader/owner if MYC and specializes in Forrest Yoga, Yoga Tune Up ®, and Roll Model Method ® myofascial release, as well as other mindful movement and meditative practices. Her goal as a yoga teacher and dharma as a human is to support and inspire others to feel more at home and empowered in their own bodies, and to hold space for her students to cultivate curiosity about their own inner experiences and facilitate a nourishing mind+body+spirit connection.
Sarah has been practicing yoga since 2011 and teaching since 2016. She is a huge anatomy nerd and loves to educate others about their bodies, so her classes are often infused with functional movement and embodied exploration of the body’s inner mechanics. You can expect to be given choice and autonomy, use plenty of yoga toys, learn a little somethin’ about yourself, and maybe giggle a little with (or at) her terrible corny jokes. Sarah's teaching style is from a functional approach, and is always inclusive, body-positive, and trauma-informed.
On a personal level, Sarah is a Florida girl at heart, an animal lover, nature enthusiast, and creative spirit with a background and degrees in architecture. When not teaching and practicing yoga, she can often be found spending time outside exploring Michigan’s abundant natural beauty with her husband or working from home in her plant-filled mid-century modern house – probably with a cat snuggling in her lap.

Fern says: "Hi I’m Fern. My mission statement is to honor all bodies. Helping you feel empowered, uplifted, and connected to your inner selves. I encourage the safety of self exploration in my class. It is one of the most rewarding joys to guide you closer to your inner connection with body, mind, and spirits. Yoga has been a tool that helped me overcome my addiction, pain, heartbreaks, and many more.
My other name is Prommasorn Seemarit. Prommasorn translates to voice from heaven. Seemarit is the power of colors. I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand. I moved solo to California when I was 19. Michigan here in 2016. In 2013, I got hit by a car. I bought myself a first yoga mat and practiced on the Lime Ridge hill in Concord, California. There, I found a sense of belonging where I never felt so alive and connected.
I had the privilege to grow up in Thailand where meditation was included in the elementary curriculum. I have seen the benefits first hand. It has improved my quality of life, especially on how I raise my kid. I mainly share my practices with my son Chance and my dog Bundance (Abundance.) It is my honor and privilege to share my practice and be a part of your journey. "

We believe that we can be better together, both as yoga teachers and as part of our yoga community as a whole.
We believe in collaborating together to create an equitable union of yoga teachers, while also celebrating and respecting each of our unique skills, strengths, perspectives, backgrounds, beliefs, and expertise as individuals. By coming together as a collective, we can better uplift each other to help all of us grow and thrive, as well as individually earn what our expertise is worth.
We believe that cultivating community is vital for overall health and wellness. Feeling supported by others and being part of something bigger has huge impacts on mental wellbeing - community care is self care. We are so grateful to have the privilege and responsibility of caring for and serving our people to the best of our abilities and with our whole hearts.
We believe there is a place for everyone at MYC, and welcome all people regardless of age, body type, ability, race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, belief system, and experience level.
We believe that yoga is for EVERY body, and that there is a yoga practice out there to suit the unique needs of every person. That's why we do our best to make our individual classes accessible and inclusive for all, and are honored to offer a wide variety of yoga practices to suit a wide variety of bodies, needs, and preferences.
We believe in creating a yoga community where everyone feels safe, cared for, seen, and at home in our studio space and in their own body, mind, and spirit.
We believe that the practice of yoga and its benefits go much deeper than the physical level. We strive to create an environment where each person feels able to find inner connection with themselves and supported in that introspective and mindful exploration.
We believe in connection with each other in community - there's nothing like the energy and kinship of a shared yoga practice experience. YouTube yoga ain't got nothin' on that!
We believe in working together toward our shared goal of serving the yoga community in Midland and creating a caring and welcoming space for all who seek the practices of yoga. By not only sharing our skills and teaching expertise, but also combining our resources and sharing the responsibilities of running a yoga studio, we can create a collaborative studio environment that better serves our community’s needs.
We believe in being committed to taking care of our students and doing our best to guide our yoga community in their yoga journeys. We aim for consistency in our class schedule as much as possible, because consistency is key to committing to a regular yoga practice.
